The book of Daniel helps us learn his prayer life and how he used it as a “weapon” to fight his battles. He was faithful and loyal to God. Daniel prayed 3 times a day (Daniel 6:10). I assume in the morning, evening, and before he went to sleep at night. God was consistently on his mind throughout the day worshipping and giving Him the praise that He certainly deserves.
How do we fight in prayer when faced with tribulations? Ask Daniel. When Daniel heard of him being punished for praying, he got back on his knees and prayed again. When he was in the Lions den, his constant prayer allowed God to protect him from the mouths of the Lions. It says in Daniel 6:21 that the angels came and shut the mouths of the Lions.
We all have our own “Lions Den” which is call turbulences. So when we are faced with our Lions Den, how do you fight in prayer? Do you stay in consistent? Do you stay faithful to God? Do you stay loyal to God?
When we stay faithful and loyal to God in our storms, God can shut the mouths of your Lions Den. When the disciples were on the ship with Jesus, Jesus told the wind to “Peace Be Still”. God is faithful to the ones who are faithful and loyal to him.
Today is the day to start being more faithful and loyal to God just like Daniel. We must stay consistent in constant prayer so God can hear us. Read the entire book of Daniel to learn his walk and prayer life. Amen.
