Preparation for Elevation Part 4: “A Fight With GOD!”

Elevation will sometimes require us to fight for it! How bad do you want it? Are you willing to endure the pain and struggles to get to the place of “rest” that God has destined for you? Are you willing to make the sacrifices if needed to be successful? ARE YOU WILLING TO FIGHT!
Jacob had a personal one on one counter with a man who is determined to be God (Genesis 32:28). Prior to this fight, Jacob desired to meet with his brother Esau, who he hadn't seen since taking away Esau’s birthright and blessings from their father Issac. It seems that his request is to make amends with his brother and squash the differences amongst them. Jacob feared that his life was on the line when he got clarification that Esau was coming to meet him with 400 men (Genesis 32:6-7). He was in so much distress that he began to pray to God to save him from his brother (Genesis 32:9-12). Later
that night, Jacob was tested to examine how bad he wanted this request. Even with his hip being pulled out of socket during the fight, Jacob did not let go until he was blessed (Genesis 32:26)! He left the fight with a limp, but most importantly, he didn’t give up! His name changed from Jacob into Israel because he fought with God and with men and prevailed (Genesis 32:28)!
To reach the next chapter in our life, we must not quit! We must not give up! We must never let go even if it’s by a thread! Jacob was blessed because he was willing to fight even until daybreak. He didn’t want to be the one to throw in the towel. So many people have given up on their calling because they don’t have the will to fight and endure pain. Elevation requires us to fight for what is ordained to us by God. Examine your life today and ask yourself, Am I capable of putting up a fight if I must? If Jacob can receive his elevation, so can YOU!

I needed this on today! I’m learning that a lot of what I want requires effort and the willingness to fight.
God said Faith without works is dead and apart of my faith has to be matched with the fight and works to believe what I’m praying for. This is good thank you 🙏🏽
