“The Rainbow”

When violence occurred throughout the world, it made God feel sad about His creation. But only one-person pleased God and his name was Noah. We live in a world right now that has all sorts of violence, killing, wars, enemies, sins, etc. Ask yourself in the mirror, “Am I doing what pleases God?” One of our duties as members of the Body is to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1). This is one of the duties that Noah fulfilled which got God’s attention.

Noah was obedient and being obedient pleases God because obedience is greater than a sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). God trusted Noah and gave him instructions and the measurements to build the Ark into what God envisioned it to be that would keep him & his family and animals safe until the flood was over after 40 days and nights. In Genesis 6:22, it says that Noah did “everything” God commanded. Noah was prepared to do whatever God wanted because he presented his body as a “living sacrifice”. Because of his preparation and obedience, God blessed him and his family as they were given authority over the earth and the animals. God also made a “covenant” to Noah and his generational family that the earth would not be destroyed by water again. This covenant is something that we still see often after it rains and that is a RAINBOW.

What to take from this is to always prepare ourselves to follow instructions, be obedient, and present our bodies as a living sacrifice if we desire to be elevated in Christ. Blessings, covenants, and promises are made to those who love God with all their heart. Hebrews 13:21 tells us that it is well pleasing in the sight of Jesus Christ when we do His will. And that’s what Noah did which is why he and his family received blessings, covenants, and promises that can’t be broken. Amen

Oh my goodness. This is confirmation. Since Sunday I keep being led to study Noah. And his obedience to God. Even when he had to do something that other people may not have understood but he was obedient and listened. God has been talking to me a lot about preparation and getting prepared while being obedient. Thank you for this
